Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with procedures, perform phlebotomy and lab testing, and manage specimen handling in a Florida oncology setting. You will document in the EMR system, prepare slides, and coordinate outside lab services as required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
BLS certification required.
One year of medical assistant experience in clinic or physician’s office.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other locations.
Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with procedures including bone marrow aspiration and pelvic exams.
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing with quality control.
Prepare and handle specimens, document in EMR, and coordinate outside testing as needed.
Schedule referrals and hospital admissions when ordered by physicians.
Maintain inventory, troubleshoot instruments, and ensure lab safety and regulatory compliance.
