Job summary

The Medical Assistant at Saint Francis Healthcare System performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard of care. They are responsible for restocking supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

This role has a heavy focus on phlebotomy and requires basic computer skills and effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities and assist providers and nursing staff.
• Restock supplies and maintain a safe work area.
• Heavy focus on phlebotomy duties and specimen collection as applicable.
• Assist in diagnostic testing procedures as applicable (e.g., x-rays, non-waived tests).
