Job summary

Adventist Health Delano seeks a Medical Assistant to provide non-invasive, routine clinical support under supervision of a licensed clinician. The role supports exam rooms, labs, and patient flow in a Per Diem setting.

Required: High School/GED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; and preferred CMA/RMA or equivalent licensure with relevant experience. Phlebotomy and audiometry/vision testing may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.
• CMA or RMA preferred; licensure/experience acceptable.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients; maintains recall and care logs.
• Obtains vital signs and reports findings to physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification (Required)

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent (Preferred)
