Job summary

US Fertility in New York's Eastside is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the RMA of New York team. This role supports fertility care teams and patients daily, with a schedule Monday–Friday 6:45 AM–6:30 PM and every other weekend 6:45 AM–12:00 PM, ET.

Compensation ranges $20–$21 per hour and benefits are included. You will perform phlebotomy, maintain rooms and supplies, document patient care, and help with procedures, ensuring accurate records and patient comfort in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; formal medical training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for blood drawing stations.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Document patient care services in daily logs and EMRs.
• Enter labs into computer systems and print labels; ensure lab orders are in place.
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments.
• Prepare rooms for procedures, take vital signs, assist with procedures, and maintain rooms per OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain patient medical records through EMRs.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistantto join our team atRMA of New York in Eastside, NewYork.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45 AM to 6:30 PM and every other weekend 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM, a holiday rotation is included, 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM when working on a holiday, Eastern Time
• Compensation:$20 to $21 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, theMedical Assistantwill:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels, ensure orders for lab work are in place
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments clinical care of fertility patients
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records
