Job summary

US Fertility in New York City seeks a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for our Downtown location, part-time up to 28 hours a week. The role includes phlebotomy, room setup, patient check-in/out, and support of fertility care teams.

Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional weekend/early shifts; compensation is $20 to $24 per hour. This is an on-site position with benefits and opportunities for growth within our national network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certified or formal medical training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, EMR, and outside lab forms.
• Enter labs and print labels; ensure orders for lab work are in place.
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments.
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vitals, assist with procedures as needed, and maintain rooms per OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain patient medical records through EMR.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistantto join our team atRMA of New York in Downtown, NewYork.

• Schedule:Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:45 AM to 6:30 PM and every other weekend 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM, including a holiday rotation
• Compensation:$20 to $24 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels, ensure orders for lab work are in place
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments clinical care of fertility patients
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records
