Oak Street Health is hiring a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support patient care across our community health centers. You’ll greet patients, perform routine procedures, and assist providers with exams and tests.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration is required or preferred.
• 3–5 years in a Medical Assistant role preferred.
• EMR experience required.
• 2+ years of experience working with geriatric patients.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.
• Fluency in additional languages (as needed)
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist the provider to maintain timely schedules.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience and prep patients for visits.
• Record vital signs and chief complaints; review medications.
• Conduct routine patient screenings per protocols and quality checks.
• Order supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, safe, and ready for visits.
• Provide telephonic support under RN/provider guidance.
• Assist with home-based support for high-risk members when needed.
• Administer vaccines and perform procedures under supervision.
• Perform waived laboratory testing and schedule diagnostics.
• Manage medical records and ensure proper EMR scanning.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care.
