The work we do building families offers stimulation, challenge, and personal reward.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Fairfax, VA office. The schedule is Monday-Friday 6am to 3pm with one afternoon off per week.

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant is responsible for:

  • High volume of phlebotomy
  • Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
  • Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
  • Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
  • Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicate physician orders and instructions
  • Provide pre and post op education
  • Perform semen washes and set up for IUIs
  • Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
  • Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
  • Work independently to ensure the program goals are achieved
  • Support and promote excellence in customer service

What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:

  • Completion of a formal MA program
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow through, and high comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry is required
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
