Job summary

US Fertility in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join Shady Grove Fertility. The role supports fertility patients with phlebotomy, specimen handling, and clinical coordination in a fast-paced outpatient setting, contributing to compassionate patient care and lab efficiency.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 10:45 AM, with two weekends and one holiday per year in Fairfax.

Qualifications

  • Strong phlebotomy skills required.
  • High School diploma.
  • Completion of a formal MA program; preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and comfort with computer applications and data entry.
  • Minimum of one year of prior healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high volume of phlebotomy.
  • Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
  • Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients.
  • Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
  • Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders.
  • Provide pre and post op education.
  • Perform semen washes and set up for IUIs.
  • Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
  • Enter labs and print labels in the computer.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
  • Work independently to achieve program goals.
  • Support and promote excellence in customer service.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Arlington, Virginia.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 10:45 AM, with two weekends and one holiday per year in Fairfax.
  • Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour (commensurate with experience)
