UPMC | GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring Medical Assistants to join our urgent care centers. The role supports patient intake, examinations, and routine tests while upholding our patient-focused care model.

A strong clinical background and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment are valued. The position offers a minimum hourly rate of $17 with monthly incentive pay based on performance; sign-on bonus up to $2,000 for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history
• Vital signs and preliminary patient assessments
• Point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals
• Open/close duties and equipment checks

Responsibilities
