Job summary

Vail Health in Avon, Colorado, is seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our friendly Pediatrics team. You will work closely with providers to support infants, children, and families in a fast-paced pediatric setting, delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

You bring 2+ years of healthcare experience, CPR/BLS, and certification/licensure as MA or related role. Proficiency with EHR, venipuncture, and injections helps ensure smooth visits, accurate vitals, and positive family

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience; pediatric experience preferred.
• Skills in venipuncture, injections, and basic clinical procedures.
• Certification/licensure as MA, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related.
• BLS certification required.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced pediatric setting.
• Tech-savvy with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and document patient history in a kid-friendly, family-centered way.
• Assist providers with pediatric exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures.
• Perform venipunctures, injections, and other delegated clinical tasks.
• Support developmental screenings and routine well-child checks.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers.
• Coordinate patient flow to keep visits smooth and low-stress.
• Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for visits.
• Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and Vail Health values.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
