Location: This position supports one of our Mary Bridge Pediatric Clinics, which may include specialty, outreach, primary care, or urgent care clinics.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Clinic Hours

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) works as part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team under the supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The MA-C performs safe clinical skills within their scope of practice and interacts continuously with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care duties such as:
• Organizing patient flow with front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting with exams or treatments
• Collecting specimens, including venipuncture
• Administering medications per Washington State regulations and demonstrated competency
• Relaying instructions to patients and families

• Manage clerical tasks such as:
• Handling patient medical records
• Facilitating referrals
• Preparing patient forms

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
• Preferred: at least one year of healthcare experience
