Job summary

MarSell Wellness Center in California is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Medical Coordinator in coordinating health and safety standards for out-of-home placements, vaccination needs, and medication management.

The role requires at least 21 years old, an associate degree or equivalent, and MA/LVN licensure. You will handle medical records, liaise with health professionals, and participate in after-hours on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; MA, LVN licenses preferred.
• Experience in medical or clinical support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Medical Coordinator with team based medical care for the children.
• Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate medical records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing and/or funding requirements.
• Review ORR portal for compliance with medical information upload requirements and ensure updates are input as needed for safety and timely discharge.
• Complete calls with sponsors to provide medical information.
• Assist Medical Coordinator in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all medical needs of the UC for designated social service program(s).
• Assist Medical Coordinator to provide medical resources for all employees and resource family homes.
• Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements.
• Attend meetings and trainings when needed or requested.
• Participate in an after-hours Intake on call schedule.
• Participate in reunification travel of the UC.
• Perform other duties as requested by the assigned supervisor and or management.
