Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Medical Assistant for our PCP team in Setauket, NY. You will manage patient intakes, perform venipuncture, record vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers in all office procedures.

The role includes EKGs, point-of-care testing, lab work, and instrument sterilization. Candidates must have a Medical Assistant certificate and HS diploma, with EMR experience preferred. Valid transportation to NYH sites is required.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma required.
• Proficiency with an EMR system preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests
• Record patients' vital signs
