Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant - Skokie, IL

Position Overview

Apply now for the Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant position at Skokie, IL, within Endeavor Health. This is a full-time role based at the Skokie Ambulatory Care Center, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 (based on experience and expertise)

Additional Details: Per diem position, not benefits eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments and verify insurance
• Complete patient registration and check-in/out procedures
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight
• Assist with phlebotomy and injections as needed
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting training preferred
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience; on-the-job training available for those without prior medical assistant experience
