Premier Health Partners, PC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our ambulatory team in Buffalo. You will be crossed trained to perform Patient Services Representative duties and support clinicians with rooming patients, taking vital signs, and documenting in the EMR.

We offer a competitive hourly salary range and a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications include a High School diploma, BLS and MA certification preferred; one year of ambulatory care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required
• BLS certification preferred
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred
• 1 year experience as medical assistant in ambulatory setting preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems advantageous

Responsabilités

• Room patients for examinations; take vital signs; record history and reason for visit
• Greet, check in, verify demographics, insurance eligibility, collect co-pays
• Answer calls and triage urgent matters to nurse/provider
• Perform routine lab tests and collect specimens
• Schedule and manage patient appointments; calendar maintenance
• Maintain accurate EMR and paper records; retrieve charts as needed
• Obtain patient insurance information and prior authorizations
• Ensure clean patient rooms and proper inventory of supplies
• Provide excellent customer service and HIPAA-compliant care
