Job summary

The Community Health Center of Buffalo is seeking Medical Assistants to join our team. The Medical Assistant will perform clerical and clinical functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Nursing or Medical Assistant Diploma preferred.
• Three (3) years’ experience stated as a requirement.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to agency policies and procedures regarding confidentiality.
• Communicates effectively with patients and staff.
• Prepares patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assists providers with examinations and procedures.
• Maintains the integrity of the medical record.
• Maintains documentation in logs as appropriate.
