Job summary

Bookmark Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist Float to support patients across Chandler, Gilbert, Hatfield Arbor and other Hatfield locations in Mesa, AZ. The role combines front-desk patient services with clinical support.

You will greet patients, manage scheduling and insurance tasks, verify information, and assist providers during visits. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement offered).
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co-pays.
• Assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
• Update patient information and support clear communication between patients and providers.
• Room patients and prepare them for visits.
• Take vitals and update medical histories in the HER.
• Assist providers with procedures and vaccines.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow safety protocols.

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and providers by:

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers

Clinical/ Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines
• Performing point -of-car testing
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following all safety protocols

What you bring
