Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant / Patient Service Coordinator to support our oncology offices across Monroeville and nearby locations. The role involves vital signs, triage, front-desk duties and clinic flow coordination in a patient‑focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have front‑office experience, strong communication and a compassionate approach, able to work independently or as part of a team, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Front-office experience including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Ability to take vitals, triage patients and assist with patient care.
• Strong communication, empathy and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and triage patients as needed.
• Greet patients, verify information and assist with paperwork.
• Stock supplies and clean and prepare exam rooms.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Coordinate testing and bone marrow biopsy scheduling with practitioners.
