Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant Relations Associate to support physicians in delivering patient procedures and to provide essential clerical functions for efficient office operations. The role includes performing EKGs, lab tests, PFTs, collecting patient history, and maintaining accurate medical records.

The position requires CMA/RMA certification, BLS/Heart Saver, and preferred phlebotomy/EKG credentials.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA/RMA certification.
• BLS/Heart Saver certification required.
• Phlebotomy or EKG technician credentials preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification from accredited program.
• CMA/RMA certification required by NCCA-accredited body.

Responsabilités

• Perform EKGs, lab tests and PFTs as ordered by the physician.
• Admit patients to exam rooms and collect vital signs, medical/history information, and allergy data.
• Document treatment, telephone communications, and lab results per procedure.
• Register patients, schedule appointments and manage the patient ledger.
• Process referrals and communicate emergencies to the physician and practice management.

Formation

Medical Assistant/Relations Associate

BLS certification or Heart Saver from AHA

Licensed/Credentialed as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred

Medical Assistant Certification from accredited school

CMA/RMA - National Certification required
