Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care duties such as venipuncture and EKGs and assist with patient flow.
• Perform clerical tasks: handle medical records, lab/x-ray reports, and chart management.
• Enter orders into the EMR system and prepare prescription refills for physician review.
• Inventory and restock medical supplies and ensure proper room setup per sterilization policies.
• Maintain logs for refrigeration, point-of-care testing, sterilization, and crash cart requirements.
• Check medication and supply expiration dates and dispose of expired items per policy.
• Follow PPE requirements and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Assist with chart maintenance, scheduling surgeries, and patient registration/insurance updates.
