Job summary

Infor in Marshall, MI is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support providers and patients under supervision. You will greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and collect vitals, histories, and specimens as directed to ensure smooth clinic flow.

You will also assist with exams, implement orders, administer immunizations or medications as directed, and manage registration, referrals, and scheduling with a strong focus on patient-centered care and service.

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in Michigan.
• Commiserate combination of education and experience as deemed appropriate by HR and ABR-OE upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Measure and record vitals.
• Document medical histories in the EMR.
• Prepare patients for examination/procedure and ensure patient flow.
• Assist provider and nursing staff as directed.
• Implement medical orders safely.
• Collect specimens and label, administer immunizations and medications as directed.
• Maintain rooms, equipment and supplies and uphold standard precautions.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries.
• Schedule appointments, process referrals and prior authorizations.
• Register patients and ensure proper documentation and registration steps.
• Provide patient-centered care and customer service.
