Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certificate or must obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures and end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Assist physicians in examination and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture as directed by the physician.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Cover the front desk as required.
