Job summary

St. Joseph Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and coordination under the provider’s direction. The role comes with responsibilities across clinical and clerical teams in a faith-based health system.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (or within 6 months for new grads) and BLS within 30 days. Willingness to float across the practice is expected.

Qualifications

• Greet and assist patients and families courteously.
• Assist admin/office staff with phone coverage and daily tasks.
• Preps patients to be seen per practice standards.
• Performs and documents POCT and interventions to practice standards.
• Immunizations scheduled and administered per guidelines and documented.

Responsibilities

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be a team player.
• Must be willing to float throughout the practice when necessary.
