Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AAMA/RMA/CCMA certification or must be obtained within 6 months for new grads.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Job Summary:

Medical Assistants are responsible for the safety and well-being of patients and assist in the treatment of patients under the direction of the provider. Certified Medical Assistants work as part of an integral team between the clinical and clerical teams. A brief summary of duties includes, but is not limited to:

• Greet and assist patients andfamilies courteously
• Assist administrative/office staff with phone call coverage, including daily tasks
• Preps patients to be seen atthe practice according to practice standards
• Performs and documents results of point of care testing and appropriate interventions to practice standards
• Immunizations are scheduled and administered according to practice guidelines and documented.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a team player and be consistent with the St. Joseph Healthcare Mission.

Must be willing to float throughout the practice when necessary.

Comp Range:

$21.55 - $29.68
