Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with patient care, clerical tasks, and efficient clinic flow. You will prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and document in the EHR, while coordinating referrals, orders, and appointments in the PMS.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or a high school diploma with MA training, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Assists physicians, PA, or NP with clerical duties and patient care.
• Prepares examination room and maintains patient flow.
• Documents vitals and clinical information in EHR.
• Coordinates appointments and referrals in PMS and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts the patient.
• Obtains vital signs and documents in EHR.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares visit information.
• Schedules and coordinates appointments per guidelines.
• Orders and inventories supplies and ensures safety practices.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders through PMS/EHR.
