Mercyhealth in the Rockford, IL area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations. You will room patients, collect data, assist with exams, labs, and procedures, and help with scheduling, triage, and charting.

Formación

• Must have CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT) or equivalent certification.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Medication injection training and pharmacology competency required.

Responsabilidades

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient according to specific need.
• Assists in examination, treatment and other clinic procedures.
• Assists with laboratory procedures, screening tests and QI projects.
• Answers telephone and directs calls or triages as needed.
• Schedules appointments and records date/time in scheduler.
• Conducts reminder calls to patients.
• Greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.
• Registers patients and verifies records are up to date.
• Updates computer system and patient charts as needed.
• Coordinates referrals through insurance and other physician offices.
• Collects payments and issues receipts.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts.
• Maintains and orders supplies.

Educación

ABHES/CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program or regionally/nationally accredited program; or NCCA/NHA/NCCT-certified program
