Qualifications

• Graduate of an ABHES/CAAHEP accredited medical assistant program or equivalent.
• ,
• Current CMA/ RMA/ CCMA/ NCMA certification through national accrediting bodies.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data, and prepares patient for procedures.
• Assist in examination, treatment, and clinic procedures.
• Assist with lab procedures, screening tests, and QI projects.
• Answer phones, triage, or direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Schedule appointments and enter data into the scheduler.
• Make reminder calls and greet visitors and patients.
• Register patients and keep charts up-to-date.
• Coordinate referrals with insurance and other offices.
• Collect payments and issue receipts.
• Maintain patient charts and restock supplies.
