Hometown Urgent Care in Ohio is looking for a Medical Assistant to support healthcare delivery by assisting clinicians with clinical and administrative tasks.

You will take patient histories, measure vital signs, perform screenings and basic tests, and help with phlebotomy and injections, while ensuring HIPAA compliance. This on-site role offers growth opportunities and requires 1-2 years in a clinical setting and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• CPR certification required or be able to obtain.
• Ability to work independently with good clinical judgment.
• 1-2 years experience in physician practice or clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Assist with basic testing and screenings (EKG, vision, hearing, UDS).
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory samples.
• Document lab tests and complete related paperwork.
• Support providers during exams and coordinate records.
• Maintain sterile technique and equipment.
• Handle registrations, insurance explanations, and payments.
