Hometown Urgent Care in Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative duties and help ensure patient safety and comfort. You will assist providers, take histories, record vitals, and perform routine tests in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of clinic experience, basic EMR skills, CPR certification, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a physician practice or clinic.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
• Ability to function independently with professional judgment.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Perform basic screenings and point-of-care tests.
• Collect blood and other laboratory samples (phlebotomy).
• Document test results and paperwork accurately.
• Assist with exams, injections, and specimen handling.
• Maintain sterile technique and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Schedule records and coordinate referrals and tests.
• Support patient registration, insurance explanations, and payments.
• Travel to care centers within designated region and train teammates.
