Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal MA program.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope, follows policies, maintains competency.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, screenings, alerts for safety.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals as needed.
• Cross trained for related duties within clinic scope.
• Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication.
• Keeps work area clean; ensures equipment and supplies are stocked.
• Provides age-appropriate care understanding patient life-span needs.
