Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Medical Assistant to greet patients, assist with registration, schedule appointments, measure vital signs, and collect health history. You will support physicians during examinations and minor procedures, and help with immunizations when needed.

Onsite lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests) and maintaining clean examination rooms are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences courses is required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA is required for several specialties.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire is required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years of medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service reflecting Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
