Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, and support physicians during exams and procedures.

You will perform vital signs collection, charting, and basic lab tasks, with opportunities to assist immunizations and injections. The role requires MA certification or completion of a program and CPR certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA is required or willing to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm, inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
