Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision. The role involves vital sign collection, specimen handling, and essential documentation in the EMR, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clinical teams, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked lab environment. 2+ years MA experience preferred and High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs.
• Support patient flow during visits.
• Perform administrative duties to support patient flow.
• Prepare specimens for shipping.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and a sanitary work area.
• Input data into the EMR.
• Maintain patient accounts including insurance and billing.
• Communicate with teams about appointments.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with center team.
• Consult team on lab testing and results.
