Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support high-quality patient care under supervision. You will perform vital signs, TB testing, blood draws, specimen preparation, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate EMR documentation.

Attention to HIPAA compliance and compassionate care for a diverse patient population are essential, along with teamwork in a multidisciplinary health center. Minimum of 2+ years preferred, high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients.
• Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients.
• Natural problem solver, looks for solutions to best meet patient needs with a sense of urgency.
• Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment.
• Technologically capable, familiar with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).
• Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired.
• Prior experience with harm reduction a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient vital signs, TB testing, and blood draws.
• Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of their visit.
• Perform administrative duties to support patient flow as assigned.
• Prepare specimens for shipping.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary, organized work environment.
• Provide input on treatment philosophy, services, and patient care.
