Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an appropriate state (e.g., Minnesota, Wisconsin) or current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or eligibility to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, Physician and other providers and provide direct patient care in ambulatory care settings.
• Perform identified procedures within demonstrated competencies.
• Care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly according to age-related categories.
