Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN, is hiring staff to assist RNs and physicians by providing direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting. You will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated and care for patients across the age range from newborn to elderly.

The role requires LPN licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin, or MA certification with certification within the specified timeframe. BCLS certification is required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota or Wisconsin, or current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Must become certified within one year of date of hire; CMA apprentice must complete CMA program and certification within 6 months.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or able to obtain within 3 months.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, OR current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified withinone year of date of hire. (Must pass certification withintwo attempts), OR if Essentia Health trained CMA Apprentice must have completion of Medical Assistant Program and become certified within 6 months of transfer. (applicable to any CMA apprentice hired after 7/1/26)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.
