Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a clinical assistant to support physicians and extenders in patient care settings. You will room patients, take vital signs, and document information in the medical record, while assisting with examinations and procedures as needed.

This role requires High School/GED with direct patient care experience, CPR certification, and compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies. EHR front-office duties and various background clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School / GED with 1 year in a Direct Patient care role, including vital signs.
• Candidate experience must align with expected clinical functions (i.e., injections, phlebotomy, EKGs).
• CPR – American Heart Association and background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Rooms and interviews patients to obtain medical information and to measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Records information in the medical record.
• Helps physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing injections.
