Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Elgin, IL seeks a Full Time Medical Assistant to support employees and dependents at our Elgin Health Center. You will conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, maintain health records, prepare treatment rooms, administer medications, and operate basic diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have current hands-on Basic Life Support (AHA/ARC or equivalent)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• National certification in Medical Assisting or equivalent credentials required/acceptable by Premise Health

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned
