Job summary

Nova Patient Care is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to work directly with our healthcare team and deliver first-class care to patients. You’ll greet visitors, schedule appointments, take histories, collect samples and assist with examinations, while building strong rapport with patients.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited medical assisting program with externship, passed the CMA exam, and is proficient with EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Has completed an accredited medical assisting program and supervised externship.
• Passed Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam from AAMA or certifying body.
• Experience in a medical/primary care setting preferred.
• Customer service-oriented with excellent communication.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and eClinical systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Collect samples and assist with examinations.
• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Assist front desk as needed and manage records.
• Enter patient data into charts and EMR.
