Qualifications

• Must hold an accredited Medical Assistant certificate (NJ/PA/DE).
• Current CPR certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/procedure rooms.
• Collect urine specimens and process per visit guidelines.
• Record patient information such as vital signs, height and weight, and changes in medical history.
• Medication reconciliation in EMR.
• Communicate with providers via EMR and hand off patient status.
• Assist providers with minor procedures.
• Collect and update patient history and medical records.
• Prepare examination rooms; stock and maintain supplies.
• Front desk duties: answer calls and greet patients.
• Maintain medical inventory and place orders for materials.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Prepare equipment for sterilization.
• Maintain patient confidentiality; comply with HIPAA.
• Travel between offices for cross-coverage.
