Job summary

Golden Valley Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant for the McHenry Clinic in Modesto, CA. The MA will perform nursing procedures and patient registration, working under the Clinic Supervisor and care team.

The role requires coordinating with back office staff, RNs, and providers, handling vitals, injections, specimens, and patient education, with Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic MA and back office procedures.
• Strong communication and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate with care teams, and travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing procedures and patient registration tasks.
• Coordinate with BOS, providers, and leadership for patient care.
• Collect and record vital signs, history, and basic data.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Assist with specimens, wound care, and procedures.
• Prepare patients and educate them per provider instructions.
