Job summary

Centerpoint Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Middletown, OH, to provide clinical and administrative support. You will gather patient information, document in the EMR, assist with exams, coordinate referrals, and support front-desk tasks.

BLS and relevant certifications encouraged; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-based care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program required, or military equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration expected within six months of hire.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; experience in primary care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain vital signs.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record accurately.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms before/after visits.
• Manage referrals and scheduling of tests and specialty appointments.
• Answer phone calls and communicate with patients and insurance as needed.
• Register and schedule activities; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Maintain supplies and assist with safety procedures; participate in training.
