Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one of the following: MA program, accredited School of Medical Assisting, Military Medic training, or Paramedic certification.
• At least one year of experience as a physician-trained Medical Assistant in a similar clinical setting.
• Ability to assist physician with patient care and comply with the Ohio Administrative Code.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit and providing specific services as determined by providers.
• Performs Care Connect EMR documentation and keeps in-basket up to date.
• Maintains environment, work area, equipment; reports malfunctions promptly.
• Communicates with patients and customers in a respectful and caring manner.
• Collaborates with health care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collects and monitors patient data; maintains documentation around chargeable items/services.
