Job summary

Montclair Breast Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, vital signs, EMR tasks and cross-training for front desk duties. You will help with patient history, MRIs scheduling and exam room prep in a busy multi-provider practice.

Ideal candidates have a valid medical assistant program credential, strong medical terminology knowledge and the ability to multitask in a collaborative environment, with Spanish language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of formal training program in medical assisting or nursing.
• 3+ years working as a Medical Assistant.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of EMR.

Responsibilities

• Greets, receives and prepares patients for appointments; obtain patient histories and measure vital signs.
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and patient records.
• Coordinates patient flow and prepares necessary prep work for providers.
• Cleans and stocks exam rooms for next patient and following day.
• Scans patient documents into the EMR.
• Manages genetic counseling/logging and Cancer IQ results.
• Possible inter-office travel requirements.
• Schedules appointments and MRI protocol learning.
• Assists Front Office with appointments and registration when needed.
