Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS. Greet outpatients, collect specimens, perform EKGs, assist with procedures, schedule TeleMed or Doxyme appointments, and maintain patient information per clinic protocol.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; MA certification preferred but not required; 1 year medical office experience; phlebotomy experience preferred; BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.
• 1 year medical office experience required.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet outpatients, visitors and families and direct to waiting areas.
• Perform venipuncture and finger sticks when trained.
• Assist with scheduling TeleMed or Doxyme appointments; provide patient instruction.
• Support physician and staff during procedures; record vital signs and other measurements.
• Review medications with patients and document in the system.
