Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians during examinations and diagnostic procedures. You will manage patient flow, perform EKGs, venipuncture/injections, vital signs and document clinical data while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, and certification within 6 months, plus BLS within 90 days. Prior experience in a physician office is preferred, with opportunities for growth within Jefferson Health

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• BLS through the American Red Cross may be acceptable at some PA practice locations.
• Experience in physician office or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture/injections and basic procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify patient identification.
• Maintain and reorder clinical supplies to ensure smooth office operations.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Support IT systems documentation within established scope of practice.
