Center for Bone & Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers across multiple Florida locations. You will room patients, obtain vitals, review intake paperwork, and document in EMR to ensure smooth visits.

Other duties include assisting with forms, preparing prescriptions, responding to messages within 24 hours, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and keeping exam rooms clean.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates communication between patient and provider during care.
• Prepare patient for visit: rooming, obtaining vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, pulling up radiology images, and documenting in EMR.
• Assist with company initiatives such as PROs and Quality Payment Programs.
• Maintain exam rooms: restock, clean as needed during and after clinic.
• Monitor biohazard and sharps containers and replace as needed.
• Assist the provider in preparing patient prescriptions and completing medical and patient forms.
• Retrieve and respond to voicemails within 24 business hours and document actions in EMR.
• Prepare patient electronic charts for clinic visits prior to date of service.
• Verify outstanding testing results in EMR and note imaging, DME, or casting needed.
• Scan clinical documents into EMR.
• Print clinic schedules on the morning of the date of service.
• Ensure patient education as indicated by the provider.
• Manage EMR desktops of assigned providers in a timely manner.
• Create and promote a positive patient experience.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant environment.
• Maintain clean workspace.
