Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in southern Colorado. You will handle front-desk duties, clinical tasks, and collaboration with care teams to support patients throughout their visit.

Responsibilities include checking in patients, recording vitals, assisting providers, performing point-of-care tests, and coordinating follow-ups. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a medical assistant school.
• One-year medical office experience preferred.
• Current Medical Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment and technology used in the nursing area.
• BLS certification/training and certification.
• Candidates with a current CNA certificate may be considered for a CNA position at a separate pay range.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage medical records, abstracting as needed.
• Check in patients for scheduled visits with vital signs and health history.
• Perform point of care testing and treatments according to protocol.
• Assist providers during procedures and coordinate with the care team.
• Schedule tests (lab, X-ray) and prepare rooms; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Review lab results and follow up with providers as necessary.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed and maintain safe administration practices.
