Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Madras, Oregon, is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily patient flow for a physician, perform triage, assist with phone requests, and support Lean principles in a busy clinic.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, MA certification, knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding, and medical office software; two years preferred. 36 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; graduate MA program preferred.
• Current MA certification (AMT, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP, NHA, or Oregon EMT/LPN/RN/Athletic Trainer) required; AAMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient medical data in the chart.
• Assist physicians with phone requests from patients and other medical professionals.
• Perform physician‑requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Maintain inventory of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Support Lean principles and ensure a safe environment while delivering patient care.
