Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join their client’s California team. In this dynamic healthcare setting you will support physicians and nurses, prepare patients for exams, take vitals, and assist with procedures to ensure smooth clinical workflows.

You will maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system, coordinate appointments and referrals, educate patients about conditions and treatments, and uphold strict confidentiality and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting certification preferred.
• Previous MA or healthcare experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient information and clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to healthcare providers and maintain patient flow.
• Take vital signs, assess patients, and document findings accurately.
• Assist with exams, treatments, and procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
• Maintain and organize medical records with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
• Manage inventory and supplies for clinical operations.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• Support additional medical and administrative duties as assigned.
